Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Question 1

Yes, most!
I prepare you so that you can pass with around 80% of the examiners and routes.
The exam is always done by a human — so there’s never a 100% guarantee, but you can definitely push the odds in your favor 🙂

About exam routes in Zürich Albisgütli:
it can feel busy, especially with all the cyclists at 8am and 1pm🚴 — but we often drive out to nearby villages like Birmensdorf, Wettswil, or Kilchberg for a calmer and more open-road experience.

The examiners here are fair and modern-thinking.
They don’t make things difficult just for fun — not like in some cantons where old-school examiners create artificial challenges with unnecessary maneuvers.

Every exam center has its tricky spots — but applying for the test means challenge accepted 😉

You can book the exam yourself for the first two attempts, even without your instructor’s confirmation.
If you don’t pass, that’s okay — you can simply try again.

For the third attempt, your instructor must confirm that your education is complete and that you’re ready.
(my personal view: if a student fails the third exam, the instructor didn’t prepare them well enough.)

If you fail four times, you must complete a FET test with a traffic psychologist — it costs around 200 CHF.

If you fail again after that, your license process is frozen.
You’ll need a new psychological assessment (usually 600 CHF or more) before you’re allowed to drive again.
